The person is the owner
A child, adult, parent, spouse, or patient keeps ownership of their own health information.

MyHealthHRS is designed so the person described by the record remains the owner. Family members and providers receive permissions, not ownership.
A child, adult, parent, spouse, or patient keeps ownership of their own health information.
Family owners can help manage care where permissions allow, especially for dependents and assisted members.
Providers may contribute documents or view shared records, but that does not transfer ownership.
The account holder controls their profile, records, wallet documents, Emergency QR, exports, and sharing decisions.
A family owner may manage a dependent’s information, but the information still describes and belongs to that dependent.
Assisted members can have their own login while allowing family support. That support can be changed or removed where permitted.
Independent family members choose what family owners can see or help manage.
A provider may send a report, prescription, certificate, or message into the patient workspace. The provider can keep its own clinical or legal copy, but the patient keeps control of the MyHealthHRS copy and sharing choices.
Requests to export, correct, restrict, or delete data should follow identity checks, ownership checks, legal retention rules, backup limits, and audit logging.
If ownership, guardianship, family permission, or provider access is disputed, support should pause risky access where possible and escalate for review.
